Showbiz, Pioneers, Best Singers, Musicians and Entertainers from 1606
to the Present: THE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN ABOUT SINGERS, WORLD
SHOWBIZ AND ENTERTAINMENT. 5 Stars+
Review by Dr. Gisele von Guntunbergersen, Editor-in-Chief of World Art
Celebrities Journal.
Volume IV of the World Who's Who in Jazz, Cabaret, Music and Entertainment:
“Showbiz, Pioneers, Best Singers, Musicians and Entertainers from 1606 to the
Present” contains 800 photos, 60 chapters, more than 6,000 names, all the
glitters, the stories, data, statistics and lists of lists of all those who left
their mark on the world of music and showbiz from progressive fusion rock to
jazz and pop. And from the year's big buzz lists to national music awards, and
from San Remo Song Festival awards, airplay world official top 100 and divas to
the ultimate entertainers, singers and songwriters of our time. It started with
the first day of entertainment and the dawn of world music, singers and
pioneers. This is an unbelievable gigantic accomplishment on a very large scale
by a showbiz expert, author and producer, Maximillien de Lafayette. It is
overwhelming. It is Homeric in the wealth of information it offers, the
descriptive categories of live performances, styles, schools and music genres
and rich biographic chronicles of singers, composers, musicians, writers,
producers and giants of the industry. Volume IV illustrates and explains
in-depth the fabric and divergent world of stars and showbiz. A new wave of
formidable talents invaded the book, starting with the cover. In Volume IV, and
as expected, you will find the biography and career highlights of famous stars,
artists, composers, songwriters, comedians from 135 countries. But the author
walked 10 more miles to include all those who made significant contributions to
the world of music and entertainment, regardless of their visibility, name
recognition and status. "Recognizing others' talents is the primordial duty of
an honest historian and a well-informed critic. Household names or obscure but
gifted artists have the same rights and are entitled to be recognized by the
public. To do so, a responsible writer should not exclusively and constantly
write about the rich and the famous. I have a strong medium here to offer those
magnificent and unknown talents a maximum exposure. I did. I had to do it. So
expect to hear and read about fabulous singers and musicians who were deprived
from opportunities to be written up in newspapers and magazines..." said Mr. de
Lafayette, author of the Who's Who. Add Showbiz, Pioneers, Best Singers,
Musicians and Entertainers from 1606 to the Present to your library. It is an
essential reference. A magnificent and refreshing book. Volume IV is the book of
the year. Reviewed by Dr. Gisele von Guntunbergersen.

How much do you know about
International Stars?
Sophia Loren
 Sophia
Loren
(Born on September 20, 1934, Rome, Italy. Height:
5' 8'')
loves the United States and she remains grateful to America’s for turning her
into an international star. But there are two things she does not like about the
United States: 1-Movie theaters, because “The popcorn is too noisy. I hate
that", she explained. 2-David Letterman, because when Loren appeared on his
show, Letterman kept on and on and on talking about her body and constantly
steering at her breast and making inappropriate remarks. Loren begged him to
stop looking at her breast and commenting about it. She said: “Would you please
stop talking and looking at my breast…I am a grandmother now.” Loren always felt
uncomfortable when cinema executives and producers focused their attention on
her breast rather than on her talent.

ARIANA ATTIE’S
DEBUT CD
“INSPIRE”: A VOCAL MARVEL! 5 STARS.
Ariana
Attie released her debut CD “Inspire”; a most unusual musical-vocal product
difficult to categorize. It is a rainbow of an absolute vocal beauty and
virtuosity blended with free form musical innovation. Attie’s voice is out of
this world; superb and exquisite at so many levels. Ariana Attie is a
phenomenon herself; she writes, composes and produces the whole thing! God
knows how many instruments she plays. With an enormous interest, I listened to
Attie’s “Inspire”. It was a pure delight.
But would this superb CD become a financial
jackpot? Hard to tell, because Attie’s genre is so sophisticated, elegant,
pure and inspirational for our turbulent and metallic times. But, on the other
hand, “Inspire” attests to an outstanding and most unusual vocal quality of
Ariana Attie, and uplifting messages, and this could transform the CD into a
collector’s item. Only time will tell. Grosso modo, “INSPIRE” is a vocal
treasure. “Inspire”, number 12 on the CD: This tune is vivacious in
tempo, strong a little bit on the drums, but harmoniously blends with the
exquisite and lyrically operatic voice of Attie. “Little Man”, number
11 on the CD: From the very first note, you sense a delightful sensual beauty
in Attie’s voice; it radiates beauty in every whisper. This woman sings like a
dream. She has a clear, rich, elegant and well-crafted voice. Attie is made
for concerts. She has all the ingredients of a great singer. In addition to
the natural beauty of her music, the lyrics are a myriad of poetic sweetness
and in the same time a torrent of sensitive emotions. “Everywhere I go”,
number 5 on the CD: Her angelic voice changes all of a sudden to be transmuted
into waves of spiritually existentialistic musical vibes. The wealth of her
voice is overwhelming. It encompasses the flair of the mid sixties enrobed
with the bursting beauty of free form expression. Is it Joan Baez? Judy
Collins? A transcendental musical expression? A Celtic goddess outcry? All of
the above. “Closer”, number 3 on the CD: One of my favorites. The voice
gets more melodious, yet rebellious in its lyrical beauty. The piano
accompaniment and the guitar clever and discreet touch add an extra dimension
of musical tenderness, beauty and finesse. Of course, Attie’s voice helps the
music radiate with elegance and warmth. “Hold Your Head Up High”,
number 4 on the CD: An uplifting and powerful song. Rich in orchestration and
multiple layers of musical arrangements. From old fashion organ sound, to a
combination of vocal effects and synthesizer’s amazing sequence variation and
quasi symphonic results created by a clever musical mixing and editing.
“Inspire” is highly recommended. Get your copy. You will treasure it for years
to come. Rating: Voice:5 stars out of five. Music: 3 stars out of
five.-Reviewer MDL. Website:

Annual earning does not
reflect their total wealth, nor the gross earnings they received from
their career throughout the years. In their lifetime, some artists
have earned more than $700 Million (Gross) from shows, performances,
tours, public appearances, attending functions (Oh Yes! Some get paid
just to appear in your reception, gala or shaking hands with
dignitaries, the public and you!!), royalties, endorsing products, CDs
sales, etc., yet, they did not appear on the 2007 of artists who

Suzanne Grzanna to appear on the cover of volume 6 of the World
Who's Who in Jazz, Cabaret, Music and Entertainment (1200 Photos!).
Read
The
Federation of American Musicians, Singers and Performing Artists (FAMSPA)
announced this week that Suzanne Grzanna will grace the cover of volume 6 of the
World Who's Who in Jazz, Cabaret, Music and Entertainment. "This new volume is a
major undertaking" said Carol Lexter, an associate editor. What is so special
about this new tome? Lexter said: "First, look at the title: "History
of Entertainment Greats From the 1800’s to the Present: Cinema, Music, Divas,
Legends" It is self-explanatory. The book contains 1,200 photos and retraces the
chronological development of showbiz and music from the 1800s to the present."
And how about the cover? Germaine Poitiers, senior editor of the Who's who said:
"One more round...every time we come up with a new volume, we try to find the
most suitable celebrity or talent -in this case- to grace the cover. It is not
easy, you know. And all these showbiz politics in town and hot talks of
publicists and artists' agents make our job quite unpleasant and demanding. I am
talking about PR firms who are pushing for their clients...they want their stars
to be on the cover. Some are obnoxious... they tell you, hey, if you don't put
this or that (meaning their stars) on the cover, we will stop advertising on
your website. You see what I mean!"
So who is going to appear on
the cover of the new volume? Lexter said: "We were looking for a talent who
blends the glory and nostalgia of the past with contemporary and fresh breeze of
today's genre...in other words, an artist who brings to the table, solid
traditional musical heritage and innovative modern style. Suzanne Grzanna fits
the bill. She is accomplished at so many levels; she is a composer, a singer, a
writer, a producer and a pioneer. Besides, she is stunning! Yep! Looks help too.
So, she is the one.
